Action Together is recruiting a skilled Child Domestic Abuse Support Worker. The estimated salary for this position is £38,000 - £48,000 per annum.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing training to GP surgeries to enhance their understanding of domestic abuse and its effects. Additionally, they will support and advocate for medium-risk individuals experiencing domestic abuse referred by participating GP surgeries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver training programs for health professionals, focusing on domestic abuse awareness and referral pathways.
  • Collaborate with GP surgeries to develop and implement effective referral processes, ensuring timely identification and support of victims.
  • Provide support and advocacy services to individuals at risk, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to develop, implement, and evaluate the IRIS service, driving continuous improvement and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in the domestic abuse and violence sector or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection and adult protection procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
  • Proven training delivery experience, with a focus on engaging and educating healthcare professionals.
  • Successful experience in project or service development, with a track record of innovation and positive impact.
  • Excellent relationship-building and partnership management skills, essential for building strong collaborations.

This role requires community-based travel, necessitating a current valid driving license and access to a vehicle with business insurance.
