Senior Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our Intelligent Engineering Solutions Business. As a key member of our process engineering capability, you will play a leading role in the development of process designs for our projects.
Our projects cover a wide range of topics, including advanced modular reactors, nuclear decommissioning, defence, fusion technology, green hydrogen, and chemicals. You will work within a multi-discipline team to deliver high-quality process designs, ensuring that they meet the needs of our clients and comply with all necessary corporate, departmental, and legislative requirements.
Responsibilities- Provide functional input to projects, including leading the input of other engineers to ensure engineering delivery meets scope, time, cost, and quality.
- Ensure that own work and that of more junior engineers on a project complies with all necessary corporate, departmental, and legislative requirements and procedures.
- Carry out engineering calculations and check the work of more junior staff to deliver a quality functional input to projects.
- Proactively generate value-adding options within projects to offer to clients.
- Plan and prioritize own work and that of more junior staff so that deadlines are met.
- Provide functional support and guidance to more junior staff to develop them as individuals and the capability of the team as a whole.
- Carry out commissioning activities at client site as required, to ensure successful engineering handover.
- Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Chartered Engineer status with a recognized professional body (e.g. IChemE) - preferred.
- Experience of working in highly regulated environments would be advantageous.
