We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at MBDA, a leading defence organisation. As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering projects that support the Armed Forces and contribute to the company's success.
Key Responsibilities- Lead projects from a business perspective, including Earned Value Management (EVM), schedule adherence, and schedule risk assessments.
- Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines, ensuring effective use of company resources.
- Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders, including senior management, customers, and team members.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
- Proven experience in project management, ideally in a matrix organisation.
- Strong risk and opportunity management skills, with experience in identifying and mitigating risks.
- Sound business judgement, including an appreciation of complex problems and how to solve them.
- Strong communication and motivational skills, with the ability to lead and motivate project teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Experience working in a production or prototyping delivery role, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Experience of leading projects from a business perspective, including EVM, schedule adherence, and schedule risk assessments.
- Bidding and estimating experience, with the ability to develop and manage project budgets.
- Negotiating and influencing skills, with the ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive and motivation to lead project teams to strive for excellence in the face of adversity.
- Company bonus: up to £2,500 (based on company performance and will vary year to year).
- Pension: maximum total (employer and employee) contribution of up to 14%.
- Overtime: opportunity for paid overtime.
- Flexi Leave: up to 15 additional days.
