Nurse Deputy Home Manager Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Home Manager to join our team at a state-of-the-art nursing home in Tranent, East Lothian. As a Deputy Home Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and support to our residents.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing a team of care staff to deliver person-centred care and support to residents.
- Liaising with key stakeholders in health and social care to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support.
- Ensuring regulatory and organisational standards are met and promoting best practice.
- Promoting meaningful resident involvement through involvement in the decision-making process and ensuring access to services and information relevant to their needs.
- Promoting positive relationships with staff, residents, relatives, and visitors.
- Working in conjunction with the Home Manager to ensure the economic viability of the service by maximising income and monitoring expenditure.
- Managing the recruitment, performance, and development of quality staff to ensure that skilled staff are available to meet the needs of the service, ensuring compliance to all HR and L&D policy requirements.
- To ensure effective management of the home in the absence of the Home Manager.
- Contribute, as appropriate, to special projects and change programmes in support of the Group's objectives.
The successful Deputy Manager will receive an excellent salary of £47,000 per annum. This exciting position is a permanent full-time role for 40 hours a week working through days. In return for your hard work and commitment, you will receive the following generous benefits:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Home Manager with:
- Previous experience in a nursing setting, along with strong operational management experience.
- Understanding of relevant legislative requirements.
- Proven experience of managing and developing teams.
- Excellent understanding of written and spoken English.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate a positive and accepting approach to clients whatever their needs.
