About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Housekeeper to join our team at Medway Maritime Hospital, working at the Stirling Park site in Rochester. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our wards and departments, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.
Main Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning duties safely and effectively, adhering to NHS National Standards and Trust Catering Policies.
- Prepare and deliver ward food trolleys, assist nursing staff during meal times, and ensure the safe disposal of waste.
- Report faults and failures of electrical equipment and building fabric to Team Leaders or Ward Managers.
- Complete records, log sheets, and personal signing in/out sheets accurately and within given timelines.
- Store stocks, cleaning chemicals, and equipment securely and hygienically.
Person Specification
- NVQ level 1 in Support Services or equivalent level of working experience.
- Good knowledge of customer care, cleaning practices, and infection control regulations.
- Ability to work as part of a team and experience in cleaning and/or catering food service.
