About the Role:

A highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer is required to join our team at Hoare Lea. As a Principal or Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering designs for healthcare projects, working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects, ensuring solutions meet client briefs and regulatory standards.
  • Take responsibility for solid technical delivery, either alone or as part of a team.
  • Monitor fee expenditure, resource, and work delivered, working closely with the team leader.
  • Maintain a high reputation within the industry, adhering to QM and risk control procedures.

About You:

We are looking for a suitably qualified Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineers degree holder or equivalent qualification. You should have excellent technical knowledge, a thorough understanding of Building Services Engineering, and experience with modern technical delivery methods, particularly BIM.

You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability in negotiating positive outcomes, resource planning, motivation, and management. Previous consultancy experience is essential, with a strong understanding of complementary specialisms such as acoustics, fire engineering, and computer modelling.
