**Job Summary**

Wood is currently recruiting for a highly experienced Principal Instrument Designer to provide support to our Client in the execution of projects within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or similar sector of the industry.

The successful candidate will join a multi-discipline engineering team, supporting Tullow Oil on a hybrid basis in a collaborative environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Contribute to engineering excellence by providing the link between engineering design theory and practical application, translating critical design concepts into workable plans for tangible end-products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and innovations.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum ISCED level 5 short-cycle tertiary education in an engineering discipline.
  • Valid Offshore Certs and willingness to work offshore.
  • Strong understanding of materials and methods used in instrumentation and control systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interpret key documents, including engineering standards, material specifications, P&IDs, and Line Lists.
  • Proficient user of CAD/D software.
