Event Service Expert

We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our Conference & Banqueting team as an Event Service Expert (Casual position) at the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a 4-star luxury environment, providing exceptional service to our guests. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for setting tables, communicating with the kitchen, interacting and serving guests, and maintaining cleanliness of work areas.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Promote a welcoming environment for our guests.
  • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
  • Set tables according to type of event and service standards, including types of linens, glassware, plate/chinaware, and silver/flatware.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
  • Prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert table/carts, and cordial carts with specified tools, wares, and equipment.
  • Replenish buffet items to ensure consistency and freshness in presentation from opening to closing.
  • Be flexible to work in all areas, including executive lounge, bar, restaurant, and room service.

What We're Looking For:

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm, ability to adapt, well-presented, excellent attitude to work, and flexibility to work all shift patterns. Previous experience in hospitality is desirable, but not essential.
