Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our young and vibrant team at The Roseate Edinburgh Ltd. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise
  • Lead a team of kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and high-quality food production
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and direct food preparation
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • Train and develop kitchen staff to achieve exceptional performance
  • Monitor and control kitchen costs to achieve budget targets
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in a fine dining restaurant
  • Excellent knowledge of pastry and baking techniques
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain a calm demeanor in emergency situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
