Product Design & Validation Role

We are seeking a Product Design & Validation student to assist with the creation of design specifications, considering application, cost, weight, performance, product life, ease of manufacture, ease of assembly, and service requirements.

This role involves verifying designs using analysis and/or functional testing, interpreting results, driving decisions, and assessing risk.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing engineering solutions and participating in design and safety reviews
  • Supporting investigations into New Products Introduction and Current Product support
  • Collaborating with Operations, Sourcing, and Marketing to ensure stakeholders' requirements are met
  • Validation tasks, including record keeping, analyzing test cell data, making test plans, and drafting test reports

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor or Master's degree in an Engineering & STEM related subject, with a 12-month industry placement
  • Clear thought processes and a logical approach to tasks and challenges
  • PC literacy and experience in 3D modeling software, such as Catia, Creo, or Solidworks
  • Relevant examples of Cummins' core values, voluntary work, community involvement, and teamwork
