About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Pets at Home Group Plc. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Prestwich store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the Store Manager, you will be a vital member of the store management team, taking full responsibility for the store in the absence of the Deputy or Store Manager.
  • You will be involved in all aspects of the store's running, including recruitment, stock control, and store standards.
  • You will lead from the front with a hands-on approach, inspiring your team to maximise sales and performance across all primary KPIs.
  • You will create a fantastic place to shop and work, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service that reflects our goals of being the 'Best Pet Care Business in the World'.
Requirements
  • Experience in working within the retail sector with a minimum of 6 months hands-on supervisory/management experience.
  • Flexible and able to work a flexible shift pattern across 7 days a week.
  • Passionate for retail and has a proven track record of delivering high standards and great results.
  • A team player with excellent communication skills to engage and inspire your team.
  • Ready to take on 6 months of industry-leading training covering all the key aspects of the role, handling and caring for Pets, Customer Service, and Health and Safety.
