Job Opportunity:

Childcare Apprenticeship – Level 3

The Aspire Training Team is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at First Steps Day Nursery.

Our nursery is divided into two levels, catering to children from 3 months to school age. We have a large garden area, outdoor classroom, and an outstanding Ofsted report.

We aim to nurture each child's potential, ensuring they leave us happy, confident, and eager to learn.

Nurturing is essential for children's development, enabling them to grow physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, culturally, and spiritually.

We provide real experiences with purpose and outcomes, allowing children to feel a sense of accomplishment. Independence is encouraged, creativity is allowed to flourish, and children's natural curiosity is embraced.

We recognize each child as an individual with unique ideas and interests, which is the starting point for our shared experiences.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Caring and supporting children through learning and play.
  • Providing personal care, including nappy changing, bottle feeding, and potty training.
  • Playing with and supporting toddlers, preparing pre-school children for school readiness.
  • Following the curriculum, supporting children emotionally and physically.
  • Liaising with parents and being involved in parent evenings.
  • Dealing with aspects of special needs.
  • Supporting the key members of the team.
  • Planning and observing.
  • Completing paperwork and monitoring health and safety.

Requirements:

  • A clear DBS check.
  • GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent.
  • A good standard of English spoken and written.

Working Hours:

  • First Steps is open from 08:00-18:00, Monday to Friday.
  • The successful candidate will work a minimum of 35 hours per week, with shift patterns to be discussed.
