Maintenance Electrician Opportunity at The Fitzwilliam Museum

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at Gap Construction, working on the electrical systems of The Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge. As a key member of our Facilities Management team, you will ensure the safety and efficiency of our electrical services, while supporting the museum's exhibitions and public programs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and maintain the museum's electrical systems, minimizing fire-risk and ensuring safety to life.
  • Work collaboratively with the Facilities Management team to resolve electrical faults and maintain electrical services.
  • Support the museum's exhibitions and public programs by maintaining electrical systems for general business needs, environmental controls, and display lighting.

As a successful Maintenance Electrician, you will possess:

  • Experience and knowledge of specialized electrical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and practical experience in electrical installations.
  • A strong understanding of electrical safety protocols and regulations.
