Teaching Assistant Role
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our team in Havering. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a difference in young learners' lives by delivering focused support for Key Stage 1 students, particularly those needing additional help with literacy and numeracy. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a primary school, ideally in Key Stage 1 or in intervention roles, and possess a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will deliver small group and one-on-one booster sessions focused on literacy and numeracy skills. You will work closely with class teachers to identify areas where students require additional support and assist children with Special Educational Needs, ensuring they have equal opportunities to access the curriculum. Progress tracking and recording students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and supporting individualized learning plans are also key responsibilities. Additionally, you will support the smooth running of daily classroom activities, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
