About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Section Engineer to join our team in Brackley, working on a prestigious project for HS2. As a Section Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of construction phase in your designated section, ensuring work is performed according to project plans and specifications.

You will develop and implement effective construction methodologies to ensure efficiency and quality in your section. This includes managing the construction programme, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule, and regularly monitoring and reporting on the progress of construction. You will also prepare weekly and monthly look ahead schedules to forecast the progress of work and ensure that all work performed adheres to the project's quality standards.

In addition, you will implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations in your section. You will also keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise in the section and provide feasible solutions.

About The Candidate
  • We are looking for a candidate with a HNC/Degree in Construction/Civil Engineering related field, or equivalent, and working towards institute membership (ICE).
  • Experience in the construction industry, particularly in highway works, is essential for this role.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software like AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Office 365 is required.
  • Familiarity with UK building and construction regulations is necessary.
  • A CSCS and SSSTS/SMSTS card is required.
  • A full driving licence is also required.
