We Do Group is seeking a skilled Financial Operations Assistant to join our team in Surrey. As a key member of our transactional finance team, you will report directly to the Finance Manager and play a crucial role in delivering accurate financial records.
As a Financial Operations Assistant, you will be responsible for managing a variety of financial activities, including:
- Financial Process Enhancement: Daily usage of financial processes, enhancing and updating where needed to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Sales Ledger and Bank Reconciliations: Management of sales ledger and bank reconciliations to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Financial Transaction Management: Maintaining accounts, verifying and posting transactions to ensure accurate financial records.
- Financial Reporting: Working closely with the Finance Manager to prepare financial reports, schedules, and statements as requested.
- Debt Management: Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors, ensuring timely payment of debts.
- Financial Documentation: Managing and filing relevant financial documentation, including supplier statements and bank statements.
- Administrative Support: Providing administrative support to the team, including data entry, Excel, and Microsoft Office tasks.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, management, and external stakeholders.
- Team Working Skills: Solid team working skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
- Self-Discipline and Efficiency: Self-disciplined and efficient, with a flexible and proactive nature.
- Financial Knowledge: Knowledge of software packages such as SAGE Accounts 50 and BACS, with demonstrable experience of bookkeeping.
- IT Skills: Superb IT skills, including proficiency in data entry, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
- Attention to Detail: Focused and diligent, with excellent attention to detail.
- Previous Experience: Demonstrable experience in a similar role, with the ability to successfully communicate with people across the business.
- Numerical Skills: Possess first-rate numerical skills, with strong bookkeeping skills and previous experience in a similar role.
- Organisational Skills: Solid organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
The salary for this role is £28,000 + benefits, including full training and funded qualifications.
