Exciting Opportunity for a Senior Mental Health Nurse Team Leader

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking an exceptional Deputy Ward Manager to join their team at a leading mental health hospital in Darlington, County Durham.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing day-to-day management and supervision of the ward, implementing best practice, and supporting changes within the service. As a Senior Mental Health Nurse Team Leader, you will play a key role in shaping the clinical direction of the service and contributing to service improvement.

You will work closely with the Ward Manager to provide leadership and guidance to a team of registered and unregistered staff, ensuring high-quality care and support for patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Ward Manager in managing the ward and supervising staff
  • Implement best practices and support changes within the service
  • Contribute to the clinical direction of the service
  • Support the delivery of personalized care and contribute to service improvement
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must be a qualified RMN or RNLD Nurse with a current active NMC Pin. You will have experience in delivering and receiving supervision, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to assess and prioritize clinical situations.

A strong team player with excellent leadership skills, you will be able to manage effective communication between medical and nursing staff.
