We are seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join our team at our Monkspath (Solihull) Distribution Centre. As a HGV Technician, you will be responsible for assisting our workshop staff in the day-to-day running of the workshop, and will work towards the provision of a well-maintained internal vehicle fleet.

The apprenticeship will last a total of four years, during which you will complete an HGV Technician course and gain an S/NVQ level three qualification. You will spend three years completing the course and one year gaining practical skills in our workshops.

As a HGV Technician, you will learn about servicing, inspections, fault finding, diagnostic work and the removal, repair and replacement of components and technology in our workshops. You will also have the opportunity to gain specialized training and qualifications in areas such as fridge technician, f-gas handling and tail lift inspection.

We offer a competitive hourly pay rate, which will increase each year on the programme, and a minimum of 40 hours work per week. You will also benefit from a range of benefits, including 30 days annual leave, full training provided, free canteen facilities and a smart uniform and all PPE provided at no cost to you.

As a HGV Technician, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive team, working towards a common goal of providing excellent customer service and maintaining a high level of vehicle maintenance.
