This is a full-time role working at St Mellion Estate, an exceptional golf club and hotel in Cornwall, England. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and increasing revenue through various outreach activities.

Salary: A competitive salary of £35,000 per annum, plus opportunities to exceed targets and earn additional income.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong ability to build relationships, and a passion for sales in the leisure industry.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • To generate new business leads and achieve sales targets by building relationships with existing customers and networking within the local community.
  • To promote all marketing activities and sell golf and health club memberships to prospective members.
  • To present membership options and promotions to prospective members via telephone, face-to-face appointments, and email.
  • To work towards monthly sales targets and sales KPIs set by the Membership Sales Manager to achieve results and deliver great customer service.
  • To handle and resolve member payment queries or complaints liaising with the Membership Sales Manager.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous sales experience in leisure and/or golf, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Digital marketing experience, particularly in social media and newsletter creation, would be advantageous.
  • Excellent computer and administration skills, with the confidence to learn new systems and databases quickly.
  • Acquired tele-sales and face-to-face selling techniques and skills.
