Job Overview:
We are recruiting a Mentor for Students with SEMH Needs to join our team at a specialist SEMH College in London. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in helping young people aged 14 to 19 develop the skills and strategies needed to manage their emotions and behaviour.

Your Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualised support to students with SEMH needs, helping them stay focused and engaged in their academic work.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and support teams to create tailored learning plans that meet the unique needs of each student.
• Use positive reinforcement techniques to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviours, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with students to promote their emotional and social well-being.

About You:
To succeed in this role, you should have experience working with young people, particularly those with SEMH or challenging behaviours. A passion for helping students overcome challenges and achieve their potential is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are also required. Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are crucial for this role.
