Catering Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Catering Manager to join our team at one of our esteemed independent schools. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for managing the catering operations, developing menus, and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our back-of-house team to create well-balanced and nutritious menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements and preferences.
- Manage the catering budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while maintaining quality standards.
- Establish strong relationships with school administrators, teachers, and faculty to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate catering staff to ensure excellent service.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and quality control protocols.
- Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and improvement in menu offerings, service delivery, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Catering Manager or Deputy General Manager in a high-volume, quality-focused environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, train, and support a team.
- Financially astute, with excellent analytical and budgeting skills.
- Excellent coaching, delegation, and influencing skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment.
- Meticulous organizational abilities and a high attention to detail.
- Empathetic, clear, and effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to adapt to challenges and opportunities with a solution-oriented perspective.
- Excellent strategic thinking and critical reasoning skills.
