Job Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Safety Engineer to join our team at AWE Plc. As a key member of our Engineering Safety Organisation, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective implementation of engineering safety across our operations.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Safety Engineer with a strong maintenance engineering background and experience in SFG20, CIBSE Guide M, and ISO 55000. The successful candidate will have strong root cause analysis and Failure Mode Effects Analysis skills, as well as demonstrable knowledge and experience of maintaining infrastructure, plant, equipment, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting, managing, and assessing standards of competence for Maintenance Engineering Safety
  • Reviewing suitability of maintenance scope and service for maintenance delivery by AWE and contract personnel
  • Advising on the safe and effective implementation of engineering safety at AWE
  • Providing technical support in resolving complex issues
  • Supporting the development and efficient operation of the Engineering Safety Organisation

Requirements:

  • Maintenance engineering background with experience in SFG20, CIBSE Guide M, and ISO 55000
  • Strong root cause analysis and Failure Mode Effects Analysis skills
  • HNC/HND or equivalent suitable experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of maintaining infrastructure, plant, equipment, and systems
