Job Title: Leisure Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Leisure Attendant to join our team at Grantham Mere's Leisure Centre. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the leisure centre and providing an exceptional experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake general lifeguard duties to the standards defined in the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, ensuring the poolside is never left unattended.
  • Monitor pool conditions, report any issues to the Duty Manager, and maintain the pool's safety and cleanliness.
  • Provide outstanding customer care, dealing with minor problems and reporting serious issues to the Duty Manager.
  • Assist in the preparation and operation of events and activities, including equipment assembly and dismantling.
  • Ensure all cleaning duties are carried out as prescribed by the Duty Manager and maintain storage areas in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Handle lost property in line with company procedures and assist in the opening and/or closing of the centre each day.
Requirements:
  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Basic knowledge of pool safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
