Company Overview:

Our client, a leading FMCG manufacturer, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team in the Midlands. With multiple sites in Birmingham and Leicester, the company offers a dynamic and challenging work environment.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, ensuring the optimal performance of manufacturing machinery. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment to prevent downtime and optimize production.
  2. Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues early on.
  3. Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults, and implementing effective solutions.
  4. Repairing or replacing faulty components to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  5. Working with a range of systems, including DC/AC drives, motors, safety circuits, PLCs, and sensors.
  6. Collaborating with the team to install and commission new machinery, ensuring seamless integration into the production process.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  1. An engineering qualification, such as a Level 3 apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or ONC.
  2. Proven experience in a maintenance or engineering role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience after completing their apprenticeship.
