Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team at Werfen, a leading developer and manufacturer of specialized diagnostic instruments. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting complex medical diagnostic systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of new test methods, specifications, and technical apparatus for complex components and functions.
  • Evaluate complex designs or processes, with respect to acceptability, suitability, and cost, and recommend preferred design options.
  • Identify product defects and explain and document their impact.
  • Communicate technical information to a multidisciplinary team and promote collaboration.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers and technicians assigned to you on a given project.
  • Independently generate predictable schedules for activities related to the function, understanding cross-functional dependencies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
  • Twelve years of product development or relevant experience.
  • Eight to ten years of product development or relevant experience for advanced degrees.
  • Proficiency in English language required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in FPGA design and implementation and/or embedded DSP software.
  • High-level digital/analog signal understanding, including component selection and debugging of mixed-signal devices.
  • Control system design and management.
  • System-level root cause analysis.
  • Design and prototype simulation models and hardware implementations.
  • Noise/EMI/EMC understanding and compliance concepts.
  • Power electronics and distribution.
