About the Job:

This is an exciting opportunity to support a child with SEN and SEMH needs in a dynamic Year 1 class. As a SEN Learning Facilitator, you will apply your skills and experience to create a stimulating learning environment and promote academic progress.

Responsibilities:

  1. SUPPORT A CHILD WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING IN A MIXED ABILITY YEAR 1 CLASS.
  2. APPLY EMOTIONAL COACHING STRATEGIES TO REGULATE THE CHILD'S EMOTIONS AND PROMOTE ACADEMIC PROGRESS.
  3. CREATE ENGAGING LEARNING RESOURCES AND CONTRIBUTE TO LESSON SETUP AND TIDYING.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience as a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant or similar is highly valued.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification is desired, but not essential.
  • This position requires an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK.
