About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager to join our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) team at Grant Thornton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing financial due diligence services to clients, primarily in a deals environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present high-quality analysis and findings to clients, supporting their decision-making processes.
  • Work closely with the wider team to deliver technical aspects of transactions, including financial due diligence and strategy.
  • Interpret and analyze complex financial information, identifying business issues and applying technical knowledge to provide recommendations.
  • Support the presentation of conclusions and recommendations to clients, discussing implications and action points.
  • Take a proactive interest in your own performance and the performance of the wider team, driving continuous improvement.
  • Consult effectively on risk management, supporting a risk management culture within the team.
  • Contribute to business development efforts and opportunities, identifying new revenue streams and growth areas.

Requirements

  • A professional qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA, or CIPFA) with post-qualification deals experience.
  • Previous experience in audit or an advisory service line, with a strong understanding of commercial judgement.
  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
