Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef Assistant to join our culinary team at Novotel Cardiff Centre. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting our Executive Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner options.
• Ensure that all food is presented to a high standard and meets the hotel's quality and presentation expectations.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer queries and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive and productive kitchen environment.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and hotel policies.
