Workshop Engineer Apprenticeship

The RoleWe're seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer Apprentice to maintain, service, and repair plant machinery while ensuring safe working practices. This role involves working on new and used machines, conducting pre-delivery inspections, and maintaining workshop tooling and housekeeping standards.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain, service, and repair Komatsu Equipment as required
- Perform dynamic risk assessments and method statements before commencing work.
- Complete pre-delivery inspections and modifications.
- Disassemble and overhaul machines and major components, repairing hydraulic and electric systems.
- Conduct post-repair tests/inspections to ensure machines operate at expected performance levels.
- Diagnose, disassemble, and rebuild machine major components
- Diagnose the root cause of reported faults.
- Experience with heavy plant and machinery, basic safety training, welding, and oxy-acetylene equipment.
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in plant maintenance.
