**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Risk Specialist to perform daily credit risk management tasks and develop a thorough understanding of risks associated with gas trading.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct initial and ongoing compliance checks on all existing and prospective counterparties for trading.
  • Conduct counterparty assessments (periodic and ad hoc).
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders on credit-related issues.
  • Prepare credit applications for local and HQ signoffs.
  • Negotiate EFET agreements.
  • Enhance internal processes and procedures in consultation with relevant departments.
  • Recommend changes in credit limits/approval status for senior management approval.
  • Monitor counterparty exposure and control credit status of approved counterparties.
  • Maintain consistent and thorough counterparty records.
  • Manage credit collateral.

**Requirements:**

  • Educated to degree level or degree-level qualification.

**Desirable Skills:**

  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, advanced Excel skills.
  • Solid understanding of counterparty risk.
  • Previous experience of credit risk management in oil, LNG, and shipping.

**Ideal Candidate Profile:**

  • 5+ years of experience in a physical trading environment, with exposure to trading of grid-based gas, and comprehensive knowledge of the gas trading industry.
  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of counterparty credit risk, a working knowledge of risk analysis and mitigation methodology.
  • It would be beneficial if candidates have experience working in a regulated environment.
