Exciting Opportunity for Senior Clinician

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified senior clinician to join our team as an advanced practitioner within our learning disability pathways across Sunderland and South Tyneside CYPS teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support the learning disability pathway, providing senior clinical support, supervision, and role modeling for colleagues.
  • Attend, chair, and lead on MDT meetings, child protection conferences, multi-agency, and risk management meetings both internally and with external partners.
  • Provide clinical supervision to colleagues and support the team and clinical manager with service improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and support with complaints and After Action Reviews when appropriate.
  • Offer training and deliver presentations.

Requirements
  • First-level nursing qualification and registration or equivalent first-level qualification.
  • Post-qualifying experience in relevant therapy.
  • Highly developed specialist knowledge of meeting the health needs of patients with mental health and/or learning disabilities and/or cognitive difficulties.
  • Safeguarding and risk management experience.
  • Experience of working within community settings.
