Actuarial Data Science Specialist

About the RoleThis role involves working on complex data projects, collaborating with stakeholders to understand and translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable plans. The ideal candidate will have experience with Spark and big data technology, as well as knowledge of Financial Services and/or the Insurance industry.
- Design and develop data solutions that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and advancements in the financial services industry.
We are looking for a skilled individual with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience working with cutting-edge data products and platforms.
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Actuarial Sciences or quantitative field.
- You have experience with Spark and big data technology.
- You are familiar with REST APIs and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- You have knowledge of Financial Services and/or the Insurance industry.
In addition to a competitive salary (£95,000 - £120,000), you can expect a comprehensive benefits package, including 25 days annual leave, pension, paid time off for volunteering, private medical insurance, and more.
