Job Overview

We are an SEMH School, rated Ofsted Good, and we are seeking Teaching Assistants to work with and support students that have a range of Special Educational Needs and behavioural difficulties, whose needs are not best met in Mainstream School.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with children with a range of Special Educational Needs such as Social, emotional and mental health difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and other complex needs.
  • Support students in a classroom setting, providing individualized attention and assistance as needed.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote positive behaviour and social skills in students.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure consistent and effective support for students.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.

Requirements

  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs and behavioural difficulties.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school setting.
