Trainee Auditor

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Internal Audit Service as a Trainee Auditor. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career as an Internal Auditor and work with a well-established, experienced, and friendly team.
Key Responsibilities- Support the delivery of internal audits across the council's business, developing valuable practical audit skills.
- Work with colleagues or on your own to deliver audits, providing robust assurance over council activities.
- Provide advice and insight to senior managers and assurance to the council on its governance, risk management, and control framework.
- Develop productive working relationships with people at all levels, communicating effectively and using your judgement to report balanced, robust findings.
- Self-motivated and efficient, with excellent attention to detail and an enquiring mind.
- Proficient written and verbal skills, with the ability to understand and analyse data and interpret facts.
- Enthusiastic and positive, with the confidence to understand and question processes.
- Experience of effective negotiation to resolve problems and excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to gaining a professional audit qualification and a willingness to learn and develop.
- A competitive salary and the potential for progression to Grade 8.
