Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Accountant to join our team at Babcock, supporting the delivery of current and future projects within our Warships support business unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting routines and provide financial expertise and cost control guidance to project teams.
  • Support the production of new contractual reports required by our customer.
  • Assist the finance and senior management team in implementing changes within the Business Unit to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Experience in a similar project accountancy / finance role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Finance IT applications (IFS etc).
  • High-quality communication ability, both written and orally.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at a senior level.

Estimated salary for this role is up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
