At Crane Payment Innovations, we're pushing the boundaries of payment technology, and we need your expertise to help us succeed. Your Mission:

The Systems Engineer (Component Engineering Expert) will provide critical electronics component engineering expertise to our Supply Chain Engineering team and CPI currency acceptor products. You'll lead conceptual research, hardware design, validation, and implementation of engineering changes to improve product quality, resolve supply chain delays, and obsolete materials.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Independently lead assigned projects to resolve obsolescence issues, productivity projects, and quality improvement projects.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders to define project requirements, constraints, and acceptance criteria.
  • Design and develop digital and analogue electronics principles and design.
  • Specify suitable opamps, comparators, power switches, and flywheel diodes for specific functions.
  • Track record in power switching circuits, resonant circuits, and motor drive systems.
  • Develop and manage sub-projects within the broader project plan constraints.
  • Communicate and contribute in technical discussions with other engineers and senior managers.

Requirements:

  • Engineering qualification in a related discipline.
  • Experience in electronics design and development.
  • Able to use schematic capture tools.
  • Practical application of electronics design relating to EMC theory.
