We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cook to join our team at CrossReach, a leading social care provider in Scotland. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving nutritious meals to our service users, ensuring their dietary needs are met and their experience is enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and prepare varied and balanced menus, taking into account special dietary requirements and preferences.
- Cook and serve meals to a high standard, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Manage food stock, order supplies, and oversee meal preparation and serving.
- Engage with service users in food preparation activities, promoting their participation and well-being.
- Supervise and support other catering staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
- Hold an Elementary Food Handling Certificate and have previous catering experience.
- Have a working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and basic computer literacy.
- Be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undergo the necessary vetting checks.
- Respect for Christian worship and values.
