About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with their personal care needs, including hygiene, grooming, and mobility.
  • Support patients with their dietary needs, including meal preparation and serving.
  • Monitor patients' fluid intake and output, and report any concerns to the registered nurse.
  • Assist with the prevention of pressure sore development and promote patient mobility.
  • Obtain specimens from patients for ward or laboratory testing.
  • Escort patients to clinical departments within the hospital.
  • Assist with last offices and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate who:

  • Has a willingness and capability to undertake NVQ level 2.
  • Has suitable work/life experience.
  • Has previous experience in a caring role (desirable).
  • Has basic computer skills (desirable).
