Shop Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Store Manager to join our team at Cancer Research UK. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of paid staff and volunteers to achieve sales and fundraising targets, while maintaining high standards of customer service and store presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and motivate a diverse team of staff and volunteers to achieve sales and fundraising targets.
- Take ownership of the commercial running of the store, including display and merchandising, stock management, and sales.
- Provide excellent customer and supporter service, leading by example and setting high standards for the team.
- Maximise profit through effective cost control and sales.
- Build relationships with the local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues to drive fundraising and sales.
- Organise and run creative fundraising events to achieve fundraising targets.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration, and HR policies.
- Experience of managing and inspiring a diverse team of people.
- Comfort working within targets and motivating others to achieve those targets.
- The ability to multi-task in a lively environment.
- Working knowledge of what makes great customer service.
- Commercial awareness.
- Knowledge of high street fashion retail.
- Adaptability in changing situations, including being able to work effectively independently.
- An awareness of the price, value, and worth of items.
- And ideally experience of retail management.
