About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a specialist setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with varying needs, both in and out of the classroom.
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver a well-rounded educational experience.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.
Requirements:
- A minimum of two years of experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a specialist setting, or equivalent experience in care or as a support worker.
- Experience working with autistic learners (verbal and non-verbal) is preferred but not essential.
