Polaris Community is a leading provider of residential care services for young males aged 13-18 years. We are seeking an experienced Youth Support Worker to join our team in Surrey and West Sussex.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working with teenage boys or challenging behaviour and hold a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma/Children and Young People's Workforce/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent. They must also be willing to engage the young people in a wide range of activities, support them through their time at Apple Orchard, and guide them towards independence and adulthood.

We offer a competitive salary of £19,745.82 per annum (pro rata) with the potential to earn up to £21,425.82 with sleep-in shifts. Our benefits package includes a company pension, access to wellbeing programmes, and fully funded training for recognised qualifications. We are an equal opportunities employer and committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.

This role requires shift work, although you will have every other weekend off. You must be able to challenge unacceptable behaviour, provide firm boundaries, and provide care that meets the needs of the individual. If you feel that you could use your skills to support this work through creating a caring and stimulating environment, then we want to hear from you.

We are seeking someone who can work as part of a team, maintain policies and procedures, and keep clear and legible records regarding the young people. The ideal candidate will be flexible with their working hours and be able to work a mixture of days, evenings, and weekends.
