The Role

We are seeking an experienced Financial Analysis Expert to join our Group FP&A team on a six-month contract. As a key member of our Technology and Data function, you will provide critical financial analysis support, focusing on spend analysis, month-end management reporting, and budgeting.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting detailed analysis of Technology & Data overheads, including software licenses, hardware, data subscriptions, consulting, and other operating expenses.
  • Tracking actual spend against budget and forecast, analyzing variances to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Partnering with stakeholders in the Technology & Data teams to provide financial insights on spend patterns and identify potential cost savings or efficiency opportunities.
  • Developing dashboards and other reporting tools to enhance visibility and understanding of Technology & Data spend drivers.
  • Preparing ad-hoc analyses as requested by management, providing financial support for decision-making on potential investments or cost reductions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified accounting background with ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in a finance analyst role, preferably with exposure to overheads or Technology & Data spend analysis.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in reporting, analysis, and reconciliations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proactive and solution-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to resolve issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, adjusting to evolving business needs.
