About the Role

IC Resources is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Optics Engineer to contribute to our cutting-edge electro-optical characterisation activities.

This role plays a key part in the development of optical systems and maintenance of optical bench setups, involving hands-on engagement with experimental hardware.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of optics and optical systems, as well as excellent communication skills for team collaboration.

Key Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical or Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor devices and silicon products.
  • Proficiency in programming (high-level language or scripting).
  • Familiarity with the specification, setup, and alignment of free-space optics.
Working Arrangements

This is primarily an on-site role within our lab facilities in Edinburgh, with hybrid work options available (1-2 days remote, depending on project requirements).

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of ££60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a range of benefits, including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave.
