Oxford Nanopore Technologies is a cutting-edge biotechnology company that offers real-time analysis and scalable sequencing platforms. We're seeking an experienced Biologics QC Analyst to join our Biologics Production team.

About the Role

This role involves the day-to-day production of kit and flowcell components, including expression and purification of proteins, production of DNA/RNA analytes, and tech transfer work such as process scale up and continuous process improvement. The successful candidate will also ensure batch records are accurately followed and carry out testing as required.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage equipment, including liaising with manufacturers
  2. Continuously improve processes and troubleshoot issues
  3. Track production data and update batch protocols and item specifications
  4. Raise change notes, deviations, CAPAs, and non-conformances
  5. Maintain general lab standards and review batch records
Requirements

We're looking for an individual with relevant laboratory experience, preferably in chemistry, biochemistry, or pharmaceutical environments or in large-scale protein, DNA, or chemicals processing. A working knowledge of chemical, biochemical, or molecular biology techniques is essential, as well as familiarity with GMP and GLP. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies would be beneficial.

The ideal candidate should be well-organized, resilient under pressure, with a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to work. This role suits someone who is quality and process-driven, team-oriented, responsive to customer needs, and wants to influence change positively and effectively. A BSc or equivalent relevant experience is required.

Compensation

We offer an attractive salary of approximately £55,000 per annum, plus benefits including a generous pension contribution, private healthcare, and bonus scheme.
