Job Vacancy: Engineering Planner

Cepac is seeking an experienced Engineering Planner to join our team at our manufacturing site in Rotherham. As an Engineering Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial plant and equipment.

The main purpose of this role is to plan and schedule maintenance activities, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. You will work closely with production stakeholders to agree on daily and weekly schedules, and will be responsible for tracking and monitoring job costs using purchasing and maintenance software.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and schedule maintenance activities, prioritizing tasks and developing scopes of work, method statements, risk assessments, and parts lists.
  2. Schedule preventative and corrective work, and agree on daily and weekly schedules with production stakeholders.
  3. Liaise with stores to track required spare parts, ensuring efficient planning of work.
  4. Participate in meetings to review daily/weekly work schedules and backlogs.
  5. Track and monitor job costs using purchasing and maintenance software.
  6. Carry out inductions, manage authorisation to work, and work permits.
  7. Provide good communication skills to colleagues and production personnel to develop an understanding of machinery operation, enabling efficient fault rectification.
  8. Promote the development and implementation of the site CMMS system (Agility) and contractor control system (Intasite).
  9. Apply rigorous application of TPM Tools & Techniques to generate continuous improvement and support process improvement throughout the factory.
  10. Apply the 5S principles to deliver world-class standards of housekeeping.
  11. Review and assist with planning relevant training within the engineering department.
  12. Review and monitor statutory engineering work/inspections, ensuring compliance.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified in an engineering discipline at a minimum Level 3 (ONC).
  2. Demonstrable knowledge and expertise in maintenance planning for an industrial plant and equipment.
  3. High level of computer literacy in Microsoft Office and CMMs systems (Agility preferable).
  4. High degree of H&S awareness, qualified in NEBOSH, with a good knowledge and experience of H&S regulations and working practices.
  5. Ability to work independently and self-motivated.
