About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Officer to join our team at Grove Academy. As an HR Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting the effective management of employee relations, absence, and performance.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, be creative, approachable, and self-motivated. You will be responsible for assisting senior leaders with recruitment administration, liaising with agencies, shortlisting, and interviews.

You will also work closely with line managers to ensure they understand and implement policies and procedures when dealing with employee relations, absence, and performance. Additionally, you will be responsible for dealing with policy procedures, ensuring fair processes are followed, and producing employee letters and contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist senior leaders with recruitment administration, including liaising with agencies, shortlisting, and interviews
  • Work closely with line managers to ensure they understand and implement policies and procedures
  • Deal with policy procedures, ensuring fair processes are followed
  • Produce employee letters and contracts
  • Liaise with payroll team
  • Provide reports and HR statistical information as required
  • Ensure effective and timely management of employee-related issues
  • Assist with personnel audits and keep HR systems updated with any changes to employee records

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity in all matters
  • Strong organisational, planning, project management, and decision-making skills
  • Previous HR experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • An adaptable team player - someone willing to learn
  • Strong administration skills, including working at pace and dealing with changing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Good working knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, and Excel - computer literate
