Vacancy Overview

West Berkshire Council is seeking a skilled Lawyer to join our Legal and Democratic Service, reporting to the Principal Lawyer (People). This is a unique opportunity to transform the approach to continuing health care arrangements and support Adult Social care with the transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality legal advice and support on a wide range of matters primarily relating to Adult Social care.
  • Work on a diverse caseload, including but not limited to Adult social care and Safeguarding.

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor, barrister or legal executive with relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant areas of law, particularly in relation to Adult Social care.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
