As a key member of the Extreme Citizen Science group, you will be responsible for continuing the development of the GeoKey software used for participatory mapping projects. Your expertise in Unix-based operating systems and Unix system tools will be valuable assets in this role.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience in providing technical support, managing servers, and following software development best practices including testing, documentation, and version control. Experience in workflow automation and continuous integration using test frameworks like Travis is also desirable.

A unique opportunity awaits the selected candidate who will be asked to clone the GeoKey repository, install GeoKey, and configure it to authenticate against an external provider such as Facebook or Twitter. Upon successful completion of this task, they will be invited for an interview to discuss their qualifications further.

This position offers a competitive salary range of £34,056 - £40,055 per annum, inclusive of London allowance, depending on experience.
