We are seeking a skilled Bat Technical Specialist to join our team at Tetra Tech. As a leading provider of high-end consulting and engineering services, we are committed to delivering sustainable and resilient solutions for our clients.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in bat ecology, with experience in surveying, licensing, and mitigation works. They will be proactive in developing their knowledge and understanding of bats, as well as sharing their expertise to support the development of others.

We offer a collaborative environment that supports individual performance, innovation, and creativity. Our team of over 95 permanent ecologists works closely with colleagues from other teams, including Planning, Placemaking, Engineering, Transportation, and Asset Management.

As a Bat Technical Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including surveys, licensing, and mitigation works for several bat species. You will also have the chance to develop your technical skills and career in line with a defined career pathway that follows the route you choose.

We Lead with Science and follow the advice of our bat ecologists when investing in top-of-the-range equipment to allow them to deliver their roles successfully. Our team is multi-award winning, having recently won the CIEEM Large Consultancy of the Year and Large Scale Mitigation project in 2023. We offer extensive internal and external training and mentoring, including from our in-house experts, as well as all team face-to-face training.

We have an established TOIL system to allow time management to suit specific personal needs alongside seasonal demands.
