This is an exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join a multidisciplinary team and support the specialty to ensure the provision of a high standard of patient care. This is a fixed-term position for 2 years.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and expand skills as a Registered Nurse within Oral surgery, Head and Neck Cancers, and Maxillofacial surgery.
- Support the team in delivering outstanding treatment and care to patients.
- Set up and close/clean down of surgery and maintain stock levels.
- Assist clinicians in clinics within the specialty.
- Run a Nurse-led dressing clinic, providing holistic care to patients who have undergone surgery for Head and Neck Cancer.

Person Specification- Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
- Ability to communicate with all disciplines across the Trust.
- Bronze QI.
- Experience in mentoring and supporting others.
- Demonstrate ability to assess patient condition and implement appropriate care, within the multidisciplinary team.
- Evidence of link nurse responsibility/specific team involvement.
- Experience of working in an acute clinical environment.
- Experience in Wound Management with complex wound dressings.
- Previous experience in Oral, Maxillofacial specialty.
- To adhere to all Trust policies and procedures and professional code of conduct.
- To administer medication and treatment within Procedure for the Ordering, Prescribing, and Administration of Medication Guidelines.
- Be competent in the use of all relevant Trust IT systems, including the use of electronic patient record, Trakcare, email, and PACS.
- To be responsible for the organisation of own caseload and appropriately delegate to support workers or other staff members in order to ensure effective time management.
